A unique offering in the configuration management arena, the NetCM mobile app allows engineers to interface remotely with the NetCM configuration management tool set using their mobile devices.
The NetCM mobile app offers numerous benefits including:
- Direct connectivity to network nodes allowing users to run MML commands from the mobile device
- High-level reporting on alarms and configuration faults
- Configuration of user-specific dashboards
- Other reporting such as performance management and revenue data
- I-Phone, Android and I-Pad native compliance
The NetCM mobile app is already being used by a number of Rorotika's customers, including MTN SA, a JSE-listed operator in South Africa that has a lease agreement with Rorotika, to manage their core and BSS nodes for multi-vendor equipment, using Rorotika's Netcore and Netran software solutions.
Adrian Pelser, SM Network Operations at MTN SA, explained the advantages of the NetCM mobile app for MTN SA, saying: "The NetCM mobile application has provided engineers with the flexibility to work from anywhere, and the ability to securely connect to nodes and run MML as if they were at their desk. Our field engineers are using the application to confirm physically the site configuration vs. logical OSS configuration, and this can be done whilst at the site on the engineer's phone."
